Today was our last After School English Club before the Bulgarian Easter holidays. We wanted to give a gift to each child in the club. So we made Easter gift bags for the children. In each gift bag contains an Easter chocolate, a Bible plan pamphlet, and two books. One called “Holy Week and The Resurrection of Christ” and the other book was called “God’s Miracle.” This was our first opportunity to introduce the gospel into the club.
After learning English through play by using games like “Simon Says” and “What’s The Time Mr. Wolf,” we surprised the kids with the gifts! They were so happy and grateful. A couple of the girls came up to us asking who wrote the handwritten message to them inside the book, which said, “Always remember that Jesus loves you and cares for you.” When we told them that the message was from us, one particular girl got tears in her eyes, the biggest smile came across her face, and she gave us the biggest hug while telling us how grateful she was. Another girl told us how much she liked the Bible plan pamphlet and liked the idea that she could download the Bible app and do the plan.
