Razlog and Bansko

We have be able to do many things within the town of Razlog and Bansko. The picture on the right is of two worship leaders in Razlog that did not have a guitar, but with the help of Guitar Aid we were able to give them one each. After receiving the guitar, they instantly started to play them and worshiping.

A local school opened up to us by a Roma friend who’s child went to the school. Our friend knew that were children in the school could not afford all of their school equipment. So he asked us if we would be able to help. We not only helped the school children, but also some children in a local church with backpacks filled with erasers, pens, pencils, colouring pencils, notepads, rulers and sharpeners.

Our same friend told us that there were children in the village who’s families were financially struggling. He asked if it was possible for us to collect children’s clothes and shoes to give to these families, as children’s clothes in Bulgaria are very expensive. When we got back to the UK, we asked our friends if they were sorting through their children’s clothes and shoes to pass them our way for the children in Bulgaria. The next summer, we packed our pickup truck full with clothes and shoes. There was even bags under mine and Samuel’s feet and we were ready. Off we went driving to Bulgaria, once we got there we were able to hand out bags and bags of clothes to many families.

Steve and Adonna have had opportunities to share the gospel and testimonies in churches around Razlog and Bansko area, which opened a door to speak in one of the churches youth meeting. They have also had the pleasure of having meals with some families and sharing the love of Jesus with them. From having this opportunities Steve and Adonna have been able to see God move in their lives.

The Christmas food bags ready to go out.

At Christmas time, we have been able to give out food bags to help some families in need. This has lead us to being able to pray for the sick and elderly in their homes. God has got us to pray for people in the most everyday places like a trip to the swimming pool. We were at the swimming pool with our friend, Freda, and she saw this child that had a broken wrist. So we all went over to him and asked if we could pray for him. He said “yes” and as we started to pray the swelling went down. By the time we finished praying he could move his wrist. There was another time where God told us that the manager of the swimming pool was ill in bed with a really bad headache. So we prayed over this napkin and asked her son to take it up to her. A few days later we went back and the manager came running down to see us and she said that when her son placed the napkin on her head the headache instantly left. Our God is a miracle working God!!

Praying for the boy with the broken wrist.
