Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, we as a family have been going to Bulgaria for many years. What started off as an investment plan, God changed into a ministry to the poor and needy in this beautiful country. It all began when we witnessed a father and son rummaging through bins to collect items like cardboard and plastic, which they can sell to make a little money to buy food or wood to keep warm. The day God allowed us to see this, we as a family knew that God’s plans for us in Bulgaria would never again just be for an investment or holidays.
We returned to the UK and started a charity, Radiant Encounter, to help those in need in Bulgaria. Over the last 9 years, we have been able to share the love of Jesus in many practical ways. From distributing food and clothes to those in need and helping with school equipment for children, to buying beds for an orphanage and putting in a water supply in a village that had no running water for over 20 years.
Now we feel that God is leading us to move to Bulgaria to be full-time missionaries for Him. In August of 2020, we went to Bulgaria to apply for residency and were told that we would only be able to get one year because of Brexit. We told the lawyer that, “We walk in favour with God and Man” (Proverbs 3:4). When we collected our residency cards, we had been given 5 years. We have now sold our house in the UK and will be moving to Bulgaria in December 2020.
We are open to whatever God leads us to do. There is one thing we are sure of, we want to advance His kingdom, by any means possible.
