Helping a Family in Need

In recent weeks, we have been working with a member of staff from the local school. This lady serves as a mediator between the school and the Roma community. As part of her job, she needed to visit a family from one of the poorest areas of Kazanluk. This family resides in a one-room house with the absolute bare minimum in it. The recently single mother is expecting her seventh child, while simultaneously battling poverty to feed and clothe her other six children.

The staff member informed us that this family doesn’t even have blankets for the six children, among many other items. From there, we were able to collaborate with the staff member to determine what they desperately needed at that time. A few days later, a large bag filled with the needed blankets, clothes, and some hygiene products was delivered to the family’s home.
