History-Razlog and Bansko

We have been able to do many things within the town of Razlog and Bansko. The picture above shows two worship leaders in Razlog who did not have a guitar, but with the help of Guitar Aid, we were able to give them one each. After receiving the guitar, they instantly started to play them and worship.

A local school opened up to us through a Roma friend whose child attended the school. Our friend knew that there were children in the school who could not afford all of the equipment for school. We not only helped the school children, but we also made backpacks filled with school supplies for the children attending a local church.

We did our first ever Big Clothes Give when our same friend told us that there were children in the village whose families were financially struggling. He asked if it was possible for us to collect children’s clothes and shoes to give to these families, as children’s clothes in Bulgaria at this time were very expensive. The next summer, we packed a pickup truck full with the donations and off we went across Europe to Bulgaria. Once we got there, we were able to hand out bags and bags of clothes to many families.

Steve and Adonna have had opportunities to share the gospel and testimonies in a few churches around the Razlog and Bansko area. From having these opportunities, Steve and Adonna have been able to see God move in people’s lives.

The Christmas food bags ready to go out.

During many Christmas seasons, we have given out food bags to help families in need. This has led us to being able to pray for the sick and elderly in their homes. God has given us opportunities to pray for people in the most everyday places, like a trip to the swimming pool. It was here where our friend, Freda, saw a child with a broken wrist. So we all went over to him and asked if we could pray for him. He agreed, and we prayed. As we prayed, the swelling went down. By the time we finished, he could begin to move his wrist. Another time, God told us that the manager of the swimming pool was ill in bed with a really bad headache. So we prayed over a napkin and asked her son to take it up to her. A few days later, we went back, and the manager came running down to see us. She said that when her son placed the napkin on her head, the headache instantly left. Our God is a miracle-working God!
