In the summer of 2014, God opened the door to a Day Centre/Children’s Home in the town of Razlog. One side of the building is a children’s home, and the other side is an amazing facility to help those with additional needs. At this time, some of the children who lived on the side of the children’s home were not orphans but were from extremely poor families that could not afford to keep them. So the children would live at the children’s home for most of the year, but during the summer holidays, they would return to their families. When the holidays ended, they would have to leave their families again and return to the children’s home. However, on the side used by the Day Centre, there was a room for customers to rest and sleep when needed, but the beds were in serious need of replacing.
After seeing these beds, we felt that God wanted us to buy new ones for the customers. We went to the furniture shop and gave all the money we had in the bank as a deposit for the beds. As we handed over the very last of all the finances, we were told that the new beds would be arriving in two days. So the rest of the bill was to be paid when the beds arrived. It is little to say that we needed God to perform a miracle for the rest of the money. We asked some of our friends to pray, and within 24 hours, God went above and beyond the money needed. Not only was there enough for the beds, but we were also able to buy mattress protectors for each one and some mosquito window blinds for the room as well.
Since the day we replaced the beds, the door has been opened for us to do other things within Blyan Day Centre and the children’s home. For instance, we have been able to provide a petrol lawn mower, a power drill, an iron, some towels, baby travel cots, and two pushchairs. Additionally, we have provided children’s clothing, some toys, and toiletries. We have also been able to give Christmas presents, chocolate bunnies for Easter, and play and share Jesus with the children.
